Simple silhouettes if you would like to wear a dress. Minimal patterns and if you do use a pattern, I'd stick with an edgier one like leopard print or stripes. Plaid could work as well if you're staying near the more neutral, concrete areas. I would definitely stay away from florals, flowy dresses and more "summery, sweet" looks.
